THE DIMENSION OF THE DRAMATIC NARRATIVE

Dominik Barbier’s creations offer an immersion through spectacular narrative.
Scripts or dialogues are written based on thorough research using original and/or adapted sources,
customized to each commission.
(on the French Revolution, the Plague in Marseille, the origins of cinema, the origins of writing etc..).
The image and the iconography, the music and sound design, the fusion with architecture
all make up the basis of the narrative.

Inaugural exhibition of the new History Museum of Marseille – 2013 / 2014
A series created using the principle of a spectacular narrative without voice over,
displaying the strong relation with history, where the somptuous treatment of the iconography,
the mapped projection onto the structure and the image restoration,
the music and the text forming contemplative ensemble,
bring a narrative dimension to the spectacle.
